disney part 2

this is how elliott spent a lot of her time in disney... asleep in the stroller.

when she was awake, though, she had a blast. she LOVED her chocolate ice cream cone (this was obviously before we knew she was allergic to milk).

and she LOVED her first piece of pizza!

she didn't get to go on the dinosaur ride. it was too scary and she wasn't big enough. but kellen and i loved it! we rode it twice, once with mom and once with dad. elliott did get to ride a spaceship ride, though, while we were on space mountain.

and she got to play on the disney beach after the hoop dee doo revue.


we were in epcot during the garden show, which was so cool. we saw lots of disney characters made out of flowers and plants.

emma and i had a lot of fun on the trampoline at our friends' house last weekend. look how big we're getting!

Disney - part 1 of

we had a GREAT time at disney world over spring break. i LOVED my first trip. i've been begging mommy to post some pictures and videos, but she's been really busy and we're just now getting to sort through all the pictures we took (apparently there were a LOT). here are a few we love, and we'll be posting more later. here's the video of me meeting the big man for the first time - i was so excited i gave him a kiss!

wyatt was lucky enough to be one of the kids who got to talk to crush at the "turtle talk" show in epcot. click on the video below to hear the question he asked - and crush's hilarious answer!

of course i got me a set of mickey ears (pink, naturally), and a minnie mouse, too.


and i finally got to see where cinderella lives!


here we are in "morocco." i sure get to travel to some exotic places for such a little girl!


on the last night of our trip, mommy and daddy took us to a show called the hoop dee doo revue. i liked the singing and dancing all right, but not nearly as much as i liked the bucket of fried chicken they put in front of me!

i was one of two second graders chosen to represent our school at the primary colors art exhibit. my art teacher chose this piece of my art:

there were works there from students from schools all over the county - the opening was really crowded!

my mom and dad were very proud of me!

a friend we met in disney

we saw ALL sorts of wonderful things in disneyworld on our spring break trip, but for some reason wyatt's favorite sight was the squirrel which came within a few inches of us while we were in epcot. elliott was terrified of it! we're going to be posting a whole lot more about our disney trip soon, but wyatt wanted to post this video to share with his class. hi wyatt's friends!

happy birthday to me

while elliott had a great time at her birthday party (you can see the post below), she spent her actual birthday in the hospital!

she got dehydrated from a bad virus. so she spent her birthday plus the next two days in the hospital...

but by friday she was feeling better and ready to break out of baby jail!

elliott's 1st birthday party

elliott was a little butterfly at her first birthday party.

she liked opening her presents.


she also REALLY liked her cake! mommy made her her own cake to eat. it was shaped like the number 1.

and it must have been good!

11th birthday

i celebrated my 11th birthday by having a wii party at my house with friends from school. we had a wii tournament, and it was so much fun!

penguins on parade

the second graders at sequoyah performed "penguins on parade," a show full of all sorts of fun facts, jokes and songs they had learned about penguins. here's a little bit of the performance - can you find wyatt in the crowd?

elliott has started walking! look at her go...

let it snow

we've had 3 1/2 days out of school in the last two weeks because of snow. here are some pictures from the first one - we just got a little snow, but it was enough to go outside and let elliott check out the snow for the first time.

but this week we got a LOT more snow. we got to leave school early on monday, and were out all day tuesday and wednesday. the snow covered everything, and we were even able to make a snowman!

elliott is learning to play the piano, and she is QUITE proud of herself...

gatlinburg with our friends

we had a great time when our friends madeline and audrey came down from connecticut for a visit over the holidays. we went to gatlinburg one evening, and it was really cold - but that didn't stop us from having fun!

new years eve

we had a party at our house on new year's eve - it was a "headbanger's ball." we had soooooo much fun. our mom wasn't sure if everyone who came would want their pictures posted showing them in their silly costumes, but here's one of the giffords ready to rock!

christmas

christmas day was totally awesome. we woke up to find some presents which santa had left under the tree in our room. we're still not sure how he got in and out of there without us noticing. he's good!

we got some really cool stuff, including new iPods (woo hoo!) and lots of hot wheels stuff, but we really loved our gator stuff. wyatt got a drawing of the team, i got a gator nutcracker, and we both had chocolate gators in our stockings!

elliott had fun opening and playing with all her presents, too.
