penguins on parade
the second graders at sequoyah performed "penguins on parade," a show full of all sorts of fun facts, jokes and songs they had learned about penguins. here's a little bit of the performance - can you find wyatt in the crowd?

let it snow
we've had 3 1/2 days out of school in the last two weeks because of snow. here are some pictures from the first one - we just got a little snow, but it was enough to go outside and let elliott check out the snow for the first time.
but this week we got a LOT more snow. we got to leave school early on monday, and were out all day tuesday and wednesday. the snow covered everything, and we were even able to make a snowman!

gatlinburg with our friends
we had a great time when our friends madeline and audrey came down from connecticut for a visit over the holidays. we went to gatlinburg one evening, and it was really cold - but that didn't stop us from having fun!
new years eve
we had a party at our house on new year's eve - it was a "headbanger's ball." we had soooooo much fun. our mom wasn't sure if everyone who came would want their pictures posted showing them in their silly costumes, but here's one of the giffords ready to rock!
